So far so good!

We've had this now for about 2 weeks. Lots of settings we haven't tried yet, but so far: The (basmati) rice is definitely fluffier (using 1:1 water to rice) than previous rice cooker's. Can't really tell the difference between standard boil and boil-steam, but both worked perfectly fine.. Haven't yet (personal taste) perfected the water portions for brown rice, but so far it's come out "nutty" (1:1) so will add more water to bring it a little softer texture (2:1?). (The normal and soft modes didn't seem to make any difference to the brown rice.) Just made a Risotto (used 1.75:1, but may reduce that a little), and that came out well, with nothing stuck to the bottom - so that was also a success. FYI I'd probably overfilled the bowl to ~1cm from top, and no spillage, so yet another success. It does take almost an hour, so is slower than previous cooker, but the timer helps to pre-prepare/pre-cook the rice, so its ready for eating.

Best rice cooker so far

This stainless steel rice cooker is amazing. The best part about it is there is no messy residual on the lid after cooking the rice. Also the stainless steel pot is very good quality.

Steam Rice and more

Great little pot that is easier to clean and manage than my last Panasonic version. Stainless steel means less worry with accidental scratching. One downside is the front push button to open the lid which can push the entire pot across... a non slip mat should be used if there are no stopper behind.

Fabulous Product

very practical and healthy way to cook rice extra soft and make stews. Stainless steel inner pot is definitely the winner here. great product overall!
