Chinese Sausage Glutinous Rice (With cooking video)



Glutinous rice - 2 cups
Water - 2 cups
Chinese sausage (sliced) - 2 pcs
Dry Shrimp (chopped) - 2 tbsp
Shallots (chopped) - 1tbsp
Oil - 1/2 tbsp


Dark soy sauce - 1 tbsp
Light soy sauce - 1 tsp
Oyster sauce - 1 tbsp
Sesame oil - 1 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Pepper - 1/4 tsp


Pour in cooking oil into the Smart Cooker inner pot, use ‘Steam’ function, stir fry the sausage slices, chopped shallots and shrimp till fragrant.

Then, add in glutinous rice and water and seasoning. Mix well all ingredients and select ‘Standard’ rice function, press ‘Start’ button for 3 seconds to cook.

Let the rice sit for at least 5 minutes after it's cooked before serving.
